I.M. Van Ray is a thriller book author and is currently working on the Dina Withers thriller series. The Cube House and The Imperfect Posada are the first two books that are published. More to come!
From a very young age, Van Ray has been an avid reader of books from all sorts of genres. For several years, she would enter the Kid’s Book Awards week at the local library, devouring a huge number of books and writing reviews for each of them. She even got to do a reading for one of the winning books which inspired her to start writing her own stories. At the age of 10 through 12, she wrote several short horror stories to entertain her and her younger sister’s friends at sleep-overs.
The books of a certain J. Grisham inspired Van Ray to study law and start working in the legal field for several years. During her studies, she was the editor for the university’s legal magazine and wrote and published several pieces herself. Over the course of her career, Van Ray worked on editing and co-drafting legal books and texts but, outside of work hours, kept reading (and watching) thrillers, horror stories and anything with a good plot.
A few years ago, she decided that it was time to finally write that story that had been developing in her mind for some time and started drafting The Cube House. It is the first book in the Dina Withers series, with twists that you won’t see coming! It was published in July 2025. The second book, The Imperfect Posada, was published in November 2025 and The Golden Cage will be published VERY soon. Keep an eye out for new publications!
