Dina has taken the leap and moved with her fiancé Julian from the bustling city to a small community out in the countryside. She does not know anyone yet but is excited for this new step in their relationship. Not only is the view from the large terraced balcony over the open grassland and river to die for, their new two-story villa is truly unique as it is completely constructed out of glass. The neighbours from the three surrounding houses are able to watch Dina and Julian’s every move, and there is nothing they can do about it.

Without anywhere to hide, secrets kept by this seemingly safe community start to surface. What happened to the unidentified body found in their garage, just before they moved in? Are her neighbours’ conspiracy theories the truth, or are they more involved in the unsettling and dangerous occurrences than they want to admit? And why is everyone adhering to the stringent community rules set in place and upheld by their self-appointed leader, Ed Tanner?

Someone is watching her. Will she find out the truth before this community closes its walls around her?

After surviving a dramatic year, Dina decides to treat herself to a last-minute holiday in Central America. On a limited budget, she books an unbelievable online deal for a three-week stay at Posada Perezoso: flights, guesthouse with a pool, and breakfast included. She can’t wait to relax, soak up some sun and explore the little beach town. Maybe even pick up some Spanish.

When she arrives as the posada’s only guest, she ignores her natural instinct that something might be off. It is the low season, after all, and enjoying fresh coconut water and the sound of rustling palm trees by herself is no punishment.

Dina’s idyllic stay comes to an abrupt end when the body of another solo traveler is found discarded in a wild animal cage. And some of the locals blame Dina for disturbing the peace. This beach town is guarding dark secrets and has no intention of letting her leave with them.

Trapped in an unknown environment where she does not speak the language, Dina needs to find answers to her questions: Will Posada Perezoso keep her safe? Can she trust any of the locals? And will she make it on her flight back home?
